A final decision on the extent of Chelsea FC’s involvement will be taken next month after a meeting between Asian Football Confederation president Mohamed Bin Hammam and the Premiership club chief executive Peter Kenyon, All India Football Federation secretary Alberto Colaco told The Indian Express today. The duo are set to meet at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday to discuss details of Chelsea’s support for the development of the football in the AFC’s Vision Asia programme.“Chelsea in collaboration with the AFC is helping in Vision China programme currently, so we do not have details of the areas in which Chelsea will work with us,” Colaco said. “The AFC president will meet the AIFF president in the first week of April and a final plan will be formulated only after their meeting,” he said.Chelsea last year had already held preliminary discussions with the AIFF when Kenyon made a short visit to India. During the visit, Kenyon had met AIFF president Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi. At that time, the AIFF had presented Kenyon with an overview of the their structure, competitions, vision programme, I-League and finances among other things, but neither Chelsea or AIFF had formulated any decision for the development of sport at that time.
