VIJAYAWADA, Oct 5: All-India chess federation joint secretary and AP Chess Association secretary Kosaraju Sivaprasad died in suspicious circumstances at Governorpet here.
The police recovered the body of Sivaprasad from a hotel room on Saturday night. It is suspected that he might have committed suicide unable to bear some mental tensions. According to the first information report, the death occurred due to consumption of an overdose of sleeping pills and liquor.
Sivaprasad was very active in promoting chess in the coastal Andhra town.
