TORONTO, May 2: Trade ministers from Canada, the European Union, Japan and the United States agreed to reaffairm their efforts to seek China’s entry into the World Trade Organisation (WTO) as early as possible.

The trade leaders also agreed to push forward the recently resumed multilateral negotiations on financial services by underscoring an agreed timetable and to boost the momentum for further trade liberalisation in agriculture and other sectors under the WTO process, conference officials said.
