Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa were among 16 professional golfers who enthralled the country’s leading CEOs at the Business Today Pro-Am of Champions 2004 tournament, which teed off at the Classic Golf Resort today.However, the Japanese Tour regulars, who are yet to embark on their competitive circuits this year, failed to bring in the lowest score of the day, which was carded by SSP Chowrasia. Chowrasia carded a five-under-par 67. Feroz Ali was two strokes behind with 69, and Randhawa tied Shiv Kapur at 71.The leading score amongst the CEOs was carded by Arvind Wable, Director, FCB Ulka, who scored 45 stableford points. Some of the other corporate golfers taking part in the meet are Pramod Bhasin (GE Capital), UK Bose (Sahara Airlines), Anup Singh (ITC Limited), Vikram Mehta (Shell), Satish Tandon (Alfa Laval), Siddharth Sriram (Siel), Sushil Ansal (Ansal Properties), Vijay Chauhan (Parle Foods), Amitabh Kant (Department of Tourism), Rana Kapoor (YES Bank), Vikram Bakshi (McDonals’s India), A Thomas (IBM India Ltd) and Justice Vikramjit Sen.Chowrasia, Jeev and Randhawa, along with Arjun Singh, Vijay Kumar, Ali Sher, Rohtas Singh, Rahul Ganapathy, Ajay Gupta, Jaiveer Virk and Feroz Ali, are vying for the Rs 5,60,000 prize money on offer in various categories. Also on show are 2002 Asian Games gold medallist Shiv Kapur and former cricketer Kapil Dev.
