PUNE, Jan 14: Looks like even the homes of cops are not burglar-proof. Thieves have not spared even the residence of inspector general of police (IGP) of the crime investigations department (CID), Carl D’Souza.

Cash of Rs 3,500 and a watch valued at Rs 800 was stolen last night from D’Souza’s bungalow at Saint Patrick’s Town on the Pune-Solapur Road. D’Souza and his family were out of town when the theft took place. Only the housekeeper was present at bungalow number seven. The thieves entered the bungalow from one of the doors at the rear. The theft came to light only this morning.
