CHANDIGARH, Oct 16: City-based architect Surinder Bahga of Saakaar Foundation has won a national-level limited landscape design competition organised by Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation.

In a statement issued here, Bahga said that the competition was organised by UPSIDC for an export promotion industrial park being set up by it in Greater NOIDA.

The competition was open to architects and landscape consultants all over the country. Out of 50 firms, 17 were shortlisted to give presentation before a high-profile jury, out of which four were selected to submit their design proposals.

Bahga’s proposal has got the award and he has been engaged to render consultancy for this prestigious scheme. He has also been a recipient of several awards including Sir M. Vesweswaraya award from HUDCO for energy-efficient housing design.
