City Central Library to celebrate library week

VADODARA, Nov 17: The city’s Central Library has organised a celebration of the 14th National Library Week between November 14 and 20 at the library premises, Vallabhai Patel Marg, opposite Apna Bazaar, Mandvi.

A screening of the documentary film Sardar based on Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s life has been organised on Wednesday by the District Information Department from 2 to 5 pm. Snehal Bhatt of the Gujarat Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will conduct a snake show on Thursday from 11 am to noon.

An essay competition (Gujarati) will be held on Friday from 1 to 2 pm. The topic for the first group, comprising children upto the age of 14 years, will be Maru Mangamtu Pustak. The second group of those between 15 to 25 years of age will be required to write on Akhand Bharat Na Shilpi – Sardar. Prizes will be given to the winners.
