CHANDIGARH, Dec 8: Since there is a lot of potential in the City, mainly among the young generation, more platform to promote their talents had become the need of the hour. So the city got two such groups over the weekend, Natakwale and Club City.
Natakwale is a group of amateur theatre artists of the city who had been performing earlier, but in individual capacities. Comprising Vijay Kapoor, Jainendra Singh, Irshad Kamil, city’s budding poet and scriptwriter and Kamal Arora, the group’s first venture "Jis Lahore Ni Vekhiya O Jammiya Nahin" will be staged at Tagore Theatre tomorrow. Club City is the brain child of an enterprising duo of Gaurav Marya and Shalini. "It is a group of artists and art-promoters and pooling in as well as projecting the local talents is our main aim,” Gaurav told Newsline. The club has floated a software firm called Maa Durga Creations and their first product will be an album along with its music video by Sourabh Jain, who has been on music programmes like the TVS Saregama on Zee TV.
