Giving a new twist to the cola war in the city of charminar — Hyderabad, Coca-Cola India is now contemplating to file an FIR against its rival cola company Pepsi in the empty bottle finding case. Coca Cola India’s Vijay Bhaskar Reddy told The Indian Express that ‘investigations following Pepsi’s complaint clearly show that there is a specified malafied intent of the complainant’.

Reddy said that ‘we have been exchanging empty bottles from time to time with Pepsi but Pepsi purposely did not disclose the right facts to the police in its complaint filed on Saturday i.e. November 16’. He informed that ‘currently search raid is going on at the premises of Pepsi’s franchisee bottler Charminar Bottling Co. We have found evidence of trying to destroy trademark property based on which we will file the FIR on Tuesday’. Pepsi on the other hand, accused Coca-Cola India of purposely blocking the bottles in its various godowns. An official of Charminar Bottling Co said that ‘our empty soft drink bottles had been disappearing from the market and we had a strong suspicion that Coca-Cola was lifting them from the market.
