Giving details of the event, Dr Neelam Grewal, Dean, College of Home Science insaid that a stalwart of Home Science Education, Dr Satinder Bajaj, Vice-Chancellor, Eastern Institute of Integrated Learning in Management University, Namchi, Sikkim, will be the chief guest on the occasion.

The renowned home scientist, Dr Bajaj graduated from the Michigan State University in 1969 with a doctorate in human nutrition. After post-doctoral research in Germany, she joined as Dean of Home Science College, PAU, in 1973. She said Syed Afzal Haider, former Law Minister and presently Judge of Shariat Court of Punjab (Pakistan) will be the guest of Honour on this occasion.

The degrees will be conferred on four batches of students who successfully completed their programme during the academic sessions 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2007-08, said Dr Grewal, adding that it will include 91 B.Sc. students besides 195 students from the diploma of Fashion Designing, Food Preservation, Baking, Interior Decoration and Management of Creche & Nursery School.
