A senior Congress leader on Thursday ruled out his party joining with JD-S again to form a government in Karnataka.

“We are ready for polls,” senior party leader and MP B Janardhana Poojary said and dismissed as mere speculation, the Congress reviving its coalition ties with JD-S.

Poojary hit out at warring JD-S and BJP, who have accused each other of being betrayers and said, “Both parties are betrayers”.

“Did not the BJP betray people assuring them that a Ram temple would be built, to introduce a common civil code and to waive farm loans when it was in power?,” Poojary asked.

The JD-S and BJP had formed the government in Karnataka by “cheating” the people, he said and asked these parties whether they had implemented their poll manifesto in the state.
