BANGALORE NOV 17: Senior Congress leader G Puttaswamy Gowda, MP, on Tuesday ruled out any possible relations between his party and the former prime minister H D Deve Gowda and clarified that any relationship between Chief Minister S M Krishna and Gowda might be purely personal in nature.

He told mediapersons that he did not have any knowledge about Krishna meeting Deve Gowda after the former became the Chief Minister. The party have nothing to do with Deve Gowda, he clarified.

Both Deve Gowda and Lok Shakti leader Ramakrishna Hegde were trying to come together again for the third time and a meeting was proposed to be held in this regard on December 11 here, he claimed. The people have become clever and would never allow any such unholy alliances, he added.

He criticised Deve Gowda and his sons for reversing the developmental works in Hassan district taken up by the Congress government and charged that all such activities came to a standstill during the Janata Dal regime. He urged the State Government to implement recommendations of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) which reviewed the problems of farmers during the Bagur Navile agitation in the district.

He said he would strive to ensure implementation of various schemes such as software technology park, industrial development centre and the airport in the district.
