Shaken by the recent resignation of V.C. Shukla from the party to join the NCP, senior Congress leaders are all set to meet on April 28 in New Delhi to discuss party affairs in Chhattisgarh. A prime subject to be discussed would be Shukla’s defection.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, general secretary in charge of the state Ambika Soni, Chhattisgarh PCC chief Ram Anuj Yadav, senior leaders Motilal Vora, Arvind Netam, Ramadhar Kashyap and Jhumahlal Bhediya are expected to attend the meeting of the Coordination Committee of Chhattisgarh. Also expected to be present at the meeting is V.C. Shukla’s brother Shyama Charan Shukla, who is also a member of the committee.
