A 35-year-old farmer was allegedly shot dead by the police who mistook him for a dacoit.

A 35-year-old farmer was allegedly shot dead by the police who mistook him for a dacoit.

The police were chasing a gang of dacoits in the forests in Udaipur village of Satna district on Friday when the incident occurred. Initially the police claimed that Ganesh Sahu had been shot by dacoits. A case under Section 302 of the IPC has been registered.
