LUDHIANA, FEBRUARY 4: Bollywood moments do, it seems, come true. A 21-year-old British citizen, who was ``forcibly'' brought to India by her parents to marry a Punjabi and who then had her passport taken away, was rescued by officials of the British High Commission and local police on Thursday. The rescue came just as she was to get engaged to the boy in a simple ceremony held at the residence of a junior police official here. The girl, whose identity is being kept secret, left for Delhi later in the day accompanied by British High Commission secretaries Angela Slater and Dinesh Kumar.Soon after she was rescued, the girl spoke to her boyfriend, a Gujarati living in England, over a mobile phone. ``I am safe and coming back soon to marry you. Take care and remember that it is only your face I want to see when I reach England, so be there to receive me.''Asked whether she wanted to press charges against her parents and those who kept her in custody, she said, ``This is a happy end to my love story and Idon't want to spoil it with any more unpleasantness.''
