Cops tortured me mentally, says Acharya kin Raghu

Raghu, the brother of junior Shankaracharya of the Kanchi math Vijayendra Saraswathi, has accused the police of ‘‘mentally torturing’’ him during interrogation in Sankararaman murder case.

Raghu, who was interrogated for three days by the police in connection with the case, in which Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi is an accused, alleged that the police ‘‘tortured him mentally by talking nasty about his family members’’.
