PANAJI, JAN 25: A young lovelorn couple hailing from Ichalkaranji in Maharashtra committed suicide following opposition to their marriage from the home front in a hotel here on Saturday night.According to police, Raju Annappa Lohar (23) had an affair with Jayshree (20) but their marriage was opposed by their family. The couple then came to the city and stayed in a small hotel where the former hung himself to death while the latter consumed sleeping pills.A note was found in their room confirming about their decision, police said and added that further investigations are on.
