Senior Politburo member Prakash Karat, who introduced each comrade mostly in their eighties, pointed out that the BJP celebrating its 25th anniversary in the Capital had no freedom fighter to match.

The veterans honoured today included those who had participated in the Chittagong Armoury Raid and were part of Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army.
