Burglary
One Rameshbhai Ranchodbhai Baria, a resident of Bharvadvas on New VIP Road, complained to the City Police that one Sunil Yadav stole cash and valuables worth Rs 9,400 from his house on Wednesday night. According to him, the accused lived in his neighbourhood and entered his house by removing the latch and broke open a suitcase and stole Rs 2,500 in cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 6,900.

Theft
A music system worth Rs 1,500 was stolen from one Maileshbhai Vithoba Dhavade house, located in Race Course Society, Hari Om Nagar, under Gorwa police station on Wednesday night, the police said. The complainant accused one Manoj Adesinh Rajput to have committed the theft, the police added. The Gorwa police is investigating the case.

Abandoned
A prematurely born baby was recovered from near Katargam Darwaja area of the city during the early hours of Thursday, the Chowk Bazaar police said. PSI S D Patel of the Chowk Bazaar police, who discovered the body near shop no 10 of Diamond House near Katargam Darwaja, registered a case under section 318 of the Indian Penal Code against the unidentified mother.

Vehicle stolen
A yamaha motorcycle (GJ F AC 84) belonging to one Nilesh Waghasia was stolen from the Ved Road area of the city on Thursday morning, the Katargam police said. Waghasia told the police that he had parked his motorcycle opposite his residence at Purshottamnagar in Ved Road from where it was stolen.
