MUMBAI, March 29: Two early first-half goals saw Colaba Young Stars (CYS) sail past Fr Agnel, Vashi in the final of the Don Bosco Challenge Cup football tournament at St Joseph Technical Ground, Kurla today.
Santosh rane drew first blood for CYS in the fourth minute on a through pass from Gham Rawar and slotted home with a power-packed shot. Two minutes later Hasmukh Baria tapped the ball into an empty goal. he recieved the pass after a good solo on the left wing by Walter Lynn who was later adjourned `Player Of The Tournament’.
Earlier GM Police defeated Kirol Boys 1-0 in the junior’s final. Siddharth Gade was the scorer.

Nath honoured: Nohar Nath was declared BPGC’s `Golfer of the Year’ of the year 97-98 during the club’s annual function yesterday. This distinction he earned primarily with successes in the Sewri Salver, the President’s Putter and Gold Medal, three of the 11 competitions of the Bombay Presidency Golf Club season. Nath is the only player in the history of BPGC who has won the Sewri Salver and President’s Putter in the same season.
Doubles were scored by Col KJS Kang, who paired with SoniaPhilips in the Willingdon Cup and grossed 157 in the Republic Day Trophy, Rahul Sood (Leslie Sawhney & Sunday Challenge) and Anand Gandhi.
