MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 14: Rose XI, Sewri beat defending champions Colaba Young Stars by a solitary goal in the quarter-finals of the Don Bosco Challenge Cup (seniors) football tournament organised by DBYC, Kurla at the St Joseph’s ITI Ground, Kurla.

The match-winner was scored by Rajesh Rane off a corner shot taken by Roland Misquitta.

Rose now face Sainath in the semis who stunned Holy Family 4-1 in another quarter-final tie. Shankar Thakur, Johnny Dias, Mohammad Khan and Deepak Kharatmal netted a goal each.

Kirol Boys defeated Father Agnel Gymkhana 4-3, via tie-breaker to enter last four where they take on Rumania. Nitin Kotian, Dinesh D’Silva, Romeo Patel and Sanjay Kar scored for the winners while Ashwin Martis, Abraham Jacob and Santosh Shinde reduced the margin.
