Police said the transfer of Patiala SSP Paramraj Singh Umranangal and three inspectors associated with the Daler Mehndi case is not likely to affect the pace of investigations.While all four officers were conversant with the case, the inspectors participated in the search for Daler and accomplices. But rumour has it that the police administration and the government were unhappy with incidents like the attack on Daler’s car. DIG, Patiala Range, I.P.S. Sahota said the investigating officer of the case was SP R.L. Monga, and that he was also heading the Special Investigating Team constituted to interrogate Daler. DIG Sahota added police parties sent to catch Daler have drawn a blank so far.
