MADURAI, July 25: Tension gripped certain areas of Ramanathapuram district in TN following desecration of the statue of Muthuramalinga Thevar at Mudukulathur. Shops were closed and stone-throwing incidents were reported in certain areas. Seven buses were damaged in stone pelting.
