CHANDIGARH, Sept 27: The hosts DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 8 asserted their supremacy in the meet by scoring a emphatic 7-0 win over DAV Public School, Shimla in the opening match of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Inter-School football competition held at DAV school ground here today.Dinesh Sharma netted three goals (not hat-trick) while Kularjit and Harish Kumar shot two goal each for DAV-8.In another match Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36 blanked Guru Nanak Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Sector 30, 3-0 to enter the next round of the meet. Sandeep shot two goals in the first quarter of the first session while Amritpal completed the tally in the opening minutes of the second session.SD School, Sector-32 got a walkover from DAV Public School, Solan, in another match.In the last match of the day, St Soldier School-28 defeated Shishu Niketan School-22 by one goal to nil to book a berth in the next round.The match winner was scored by Angad in the 10th minute.
