The seeds took a beating and after six quiet days the LIC 61st National Sub-junior and Cadet Table Tennis suddenly erupted to life today.There were heavy casualties in every category, the dominance of the Petroleum Sports Control Board Academy (PSCBA), Bengal and even Tamil Nadu, to a certain extent, was checked, while the paddlers from Assam and Karnataka cornered glory.The PSCBA suffered losses in the cadet boys section where the promising Devesh Karia, seeded six and Priyanuj Borthakur, the fourth seed, were ambushed by Assam's unseeded Partha Jyothi Gogoi and Gaurishanker Batsalya in the quarterfinals. Earlier, in the pre-quarterfinals PSCBA lost their second seed Arpit Bhopalkar.Soumya Nandi, the top seed in Cadet boys event fell in the pre-quarterfinals to Jubin Kumar (PSCBA).
