Two held for car theft
Six cases of car theft have been solved with the arrest of two youth in Bardarpur. Twenty one-year-old Jagdish, a resident of Mitapur and 24-year-old Guddu, a resident of Bareily were arrested by the Badarpur police recently near Noida mor on Mathura Road. The police subsequently recovered two cars and one motorcycle from them. According to the police, the two would regularly steal vehicles — usually cars — from Delhi and sell them in Moradabad.

Policemen manhandled
Two Jamrodpur residents have been arrested for allegedly manhandling policemen and preventing them from carrying out their duties. Dharamveer and his associate Raj Kumar were arrested by the Lajpat Nagar police after getting into a scuffle with PCR staff. A man named Sanela approached the PCR staff stationed near Moolchand Hospital and reported that he had been beaten by two drunkards. The police reached the spot, saw Dharamver and Kumar and proceeded to question them. In the fight that ensued, a policemen got injured, his revolver cord was broken and the Gypsy was damaged.

Stolen pump recovered
A stolen pump was recovered near Shivalik Apartments in Kalkaji, after the police received a call about an unclaimed bag in the area. The police reached the spot to find two boys — Lal Bahadur and Kamal — taking off with the bag. On questioning they confessed that they had stolen a pump which they later hid in the bag.

Police seek help to identify body
The New Delhi Railway police have sought the help of the public to identify the body of a 55-year-old man, 5’6” in height, lean build, long beard in a white kurta and dhoti. The body was found on May 1. The Subzi Mandi Railway police have also asked for public help to identify the body of a 60-year-old man, 5’6” in height, lean build, long face, wearing a light brown kurta and white dhoti. The body was found on May 2.
