The Delhi High Court on Monday lifted the sealing order on all photocopy units using ‘fake’ Xerox machines, but restrained them from further using the trademark.

Justice S N Dhingra, who was hearing a trademark infringement suit filed by Xerox, directed shopkeepers to put permanent stickers in spots where the inscription ‘Xerox’ appears on their machines. The next date of hearing has been fixed on February 13.

The court had earlier passed a restraining order against shopkeepers in Delhi and Kolkata indulging in the sale and advertising of photocopiers and printers under the trademark Xerox.
