
4 gangsters arrested
The north-district police has apprehended four UP based notorious criminals said to be involved in 17 cases including murder, dacoity and burglary. According to the police, the four accused persons were planning a robbery in a factory located in the Nathupura area in Burari. Three loaded country-made pistols and one spring-actuated knife were recovered from their possession.
Bijender, Shivraj Singh, Ashok Kumar and Vinod Kumar were arrested by a police party on an evening patrol. According to the police, the party spotted the four persons at Jharodapushta at 6.15 p.m. on Sunday. Reportedly, after seeing the police, the accused persons started running. The police party however gave them chase and overpowered them.
Man stabbed
A 35-year-old Afghan national was allegedly stabbed by his friend in Lado Sarai area on Tuesday. He has been admitted to a city hospital and is out of danger. According to the police, the victim, Noor Ahmed was staying with his friend Naseer Ahmed and his family. Apparently Naseer took offence to something that Noor told his wife.

A chargesheet was filed against Pradeep Kumar Patpatia, Junior Engineer (civil) C.P.W.D, for demanding and accepting Rs 3,000 from contractor, Surendra Pal Wason seeking a No Objection Certificate’.
