NEW DELHI, December 22: Delhi began their campaign in girls hockey event of the 44th National School Games when they defeated Chandigarh 2-0 here today. Chinta and parveen were the goal scorers. In boys section, Punjab beat Chandigarh 5-0 and Himachal defeated Haryana 3-1.
In cricket, the hosts beat Chandigarh by 34 runs. The Games were inaugurated by Chief Minister Sheila Dixit at Chhattarsal Stadium.
