PATIALA, NOV 21: Swami Krishna Nand, president, All India Hindu Maha Sangh and founder of Shri Naina Devi Gufa and Sadhu Ashram, has appealed to the Prime Minister to initiate immediate action to start construction of Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya as promised in the BJP manifesto. The construction of the Masjid may also be started simultaneously so that there is no ill-feeling among people of any religion.

In a statement here today, he also said the BJP had announced long ago that Shri Ram Mandir will be constructed at Ayodhya after the swearing in ceremony of the BJP government, but it has been delayed by more than an year and a half. The Sadhu samaj is eagerly awaiting government action for the construction of Shri Ram Mandir, as they have full faith in the present leadership of BJP.

Swami also demanded that using of photographs of Gods and Goddesses on calendars, bidis, cigarettes, as well as business advertisements should be immediately banned through an ordinance, and use of Hindi in Union government offices be ordered.

He also said that government should ban smoking in public places and law-breakers should be strictly dealt with.
