PONDICHERRY, JUNE 4: Pondicherry Pradesh Congress Committee president V. Narayanasami on Saturday said his party would take legal steps and also urge the Election Commission of India to derecognise the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) for supporting the banned LTTE.
Addressing a press conference here, he urged Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi to drop the two parties from the DMK-led Front in the state.

Referring to the Yanam by-poll, he said he would meet Sonia Gandhi on June 6 and the candidate would be officially announced after that.
