Tourism Minister Ambika Soni, it seems, is also a good event manager. Not surprisingly, therefore, she has been entrusted the responsibility of organising successful events at the most powerful address in India, 10 Janpath. Two weeks ago she managed the dinner hosted by Sonia Gandhi for Congress leaders to mark 10 years as the helmsman of the party. Soni had taken this responsibility the last winter too when she had organised a reception for a visiting royal couple from Europe. Her management skills are not only winning her praise from the guests, but also helping her mend her ties with Sonia, a relationship that had nosedived after the Sethusamudram fiasco in September last year.
