Director, producer of CD record statement

The director and producer of the BJP’s anti-Muslim CD have told the police that they prepared it under the guidance of the saffron party’s cultural wing chief and extensively used materials provided by leaders. Both Virendra Singh and Pravesh, producer and director of the CD, were interrogated in Saharanpur by a police team from Lucknow headed by SP V. Chandra, who recorded their statement on Sunday.

Singh and Pravesh reportedly said they took instructions from the president of the BJP’s cultural wing, Kalpana Talwar, while other leaders provided inputs and books including “Lahuluhaan Bharat” and “Bhajapa aur Swaraj”.

They also claimed that 75 per cent of the faces in the CD were BJP workers and that senior BJP leaders had knowledge about the CD.
