DMK chief says thanks

DMK chief M.Karunanidhi said on Friday he was happy that all their demands — from Cauvery to Tamil being declared as classical language — being included in the coalition’s CMP. He said the BJP had ridiculed the DMK when it staged an agitation demanding the scrapping of POTA and declaration of Tamil as a classical language. ‘‘Now our demand has been fulfilled,’’ he said. Surface Transport Minister T.R.Baalu was named leader of the DMK’s parliamentary party while C.Kuppusamy will lead the party in the Lok Sabha.
