CHENNAI, June 11: Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) president GK Moopanar on Thursday asked the Centre to act in an impartial manner over the demand made by the AIADMK and its allies for the DMK Government’s dismissal in the state.

When asked about the walkouts staged by the AIADMK in Parliament, Moopanar said, "It’s their democratic right." However, he complimented Vajpayee for acting in a fair manner over the dismissal demand. "I wish that the Centre continue to act in a fair manner", he told mediapersons.

On the effect the demand would have on the state government, he said:

"Though there was some confusion initially, if they (AIADMK) continue to indulge in a false propaganda (against the DMK government) how will it affect the state government".Moopanar scoffed at rumours of a patch-up with the Congress. He said these were "mere speculations".

He denied media reports that he met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi during his visit to Delhi recently.
