MUMBAI , NOVEMBER 25: Top seed Juraj Hasko of Slovakia did not know what hit him as he came across a determined qualifier John Doran who beat him 6-2, 6-2 to lift the singles title at the $ 10,000 ITF Futures tennis tournament being played at the Dr. GA Ranade Tennis Centre on Saturday.

With this comfortable win, Doran earned 12 ITF points and became richer by Rs. 56, 550 while Hasko had to be content with eight ITF points and a cash prize of Rs 39, 150. The highlight of the match was Doran’s serve which virtually upset the rhythm of Hasko. It was the poor first serve that proved the Hasko’s wrongdoing at crucial moments.

This was the first major title for the 22 year old Irish qualifier who has been training in the United States for the last four years. He now flies to Manila for the ITF tournament starting there from Monday.
