
CHANDIGARH, Oct 30: Athletes from Moti Lal Nehru Sports School, Rai had a complete dominance in the field events, however, they faced stiff resistance in the track events on the penultimate day of the Indian Public School Conference (IPSC) athletic meet being held at Yadavindra Public School, SAS Nagar.
Gursheer Sidhu of the hosts school held the spot light by winning the 400-metre in 53.02 seconds. Sandeep Singh of MNSS Rai, held on to win the second place in 55.03. Gurjeet Singh of YPS Patiala finished third in 55.08.
In the girls group, Shilpa Jagga of Welham Girls High School, Dehradun bagged two gold medals. Her first gold of the day came in the high jump event when she cleared 1.36m in her second attempt to win the first place. Shilpa also won the 100 metres hurdles gold in 18.28 seconds.
