BUDAPEST: Holland’s jazz loving Bermuda-born sprinter Troy Douglas received the red card from the European Championships organisers here today and was kicked out of the remainder of the tournament for using abusive language. The 35-year-old Douglas, who was an Olympic 200 metres semifinalist as far back as 1988, lost his cool in the jury’s room after they rejected his appeal that two of the camera angles showed he finished third in last night’s 200 metres final ahead of Britain’s Julian Golding.
