BANGALORE, July 1: Striking a tough posture, an all-party meet called by the Karnataka govt today rejected the draft scheme framed by the Centre to form the Cauvery river authority and decided to take legal steps before July 15 to defend the State’s interests.
The meet also decided to take an all-party delegation to the Prime Minister to prevail upon him to hold a meeting of the National Water Council to find a permanent solution to inter-State water disputes by framing necessary guidelines.
