CALCUTTA, March 12: Both Bengal and Uttar Pradesh need just a draw to advance into the next stage of the Ranji Trophy Super League. Both have five points each, having grabbed the first innings' lead in their drawn matches against Maharashtra. With both Tamil Nadu and Delhi having been suspended from this group, it has become a three-team affair. Maharashtra appear destined to make their exit from what is surely the easiest group in the Super League now.The match will be played at the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club wicket, which should take turn from the third day. Bengal, who can claim to have a superior spin division, should benefit from that. However, both the sides could well decide to adopt the safety-first policy and go a draw.Bengal will be without Debang Gandhi who is playing for India A.
