One by one they all came, took off their t-shirts. and shorts! And the entire Indian team tried the new range of training gear. The team’s official apparel sponsor Nike will be launching their World Cup clothing line on February 20 but the players got a look at the samples on Friday as they tried out their sizes. And from the initial reaction of the players, they are liking this new dark shade of blue and a tinge of grey and orange flavour.

Helping them out was Jatin Paranjpe, former Mumbai cricketer, but despite the secrecy with which he preferred to work, one could just manage to peek in. Indian team’s new training gear — not match dress — will have dark blue base, unlike the present shining light blue with white base, and will have a grey shade at the back with principal sponsors’ name written in orange at the front.

The shorts and track pants are plain dark blue with an orange piping at the sides. The plain blue India cap is also likely to get a tri-colour strip towards the side.
