DSP to probe assault on SHO

CHANDIGARH, Dec 15: Deputy Superintendent of Police Surjit Singh will probe the alleged beating up of Station House Officer (SHO) inspector Jaswant Singh on Saturday night.

Senior Superintendent of Police C.S.R. Reddy said the investigation was essential since two separate complaints had been received. The alleged bashing up of the Sector 3 police station SHO had sent shock waves in the police circles. He had alleged that he was beaten up by a few youth in the parking lot of Hotel Mountview after he had tried to stop them from forcing a couple

of girls into a car.An accused, however, had accused the SHO of slapping him and abusing the members of his family.
