Election Commission has proposed disciplinary action against Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Singh.

The EC has slapped a showcause notice on Singh, who was ousted from the post last week. He has been given two weeks’ time to file replies on printing of voters’ list and delay in providing copies to political parties.

Meanwhile, the EC today chose K.K. Chakravarti as the new CEO.
