The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has alerted embassies in the 12 countries from where Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) cases have been reported. The officials have been asked to make sure that air travellers are not carriers of the disease.
Announcing this, Health and Family Welfare Minister Sushma Swaraj assured that the country is well-equipped to handle an outbreak.
