Entry date for short races extended

PUNE, Jan 10: Considering the increasing response for participation in the Pune International Marathon, the organising committee has decided to extend the time limit for accepting entries in boys and girls under-14 and under-17 years categories.

Forms for entries in these categories will now be accepted up to January 14, according to Pralhad Sawant, organising secretary. A large number of school students are expected to participate in the short distance races being organised alongwith the Pune International marathon.

The organising committee has convened a meeting of the physical directors of various colleges in the city. The meeting will be presided over by the physical director of the University, LT Deshmukh. The detailed programme related to conduct of the short distance races and the Marathon will be discussed during this meeting. The organising committee comprises of about 3000 officials from all over the city.
