The visiting EU Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy has said that he would take up the issue of liberalisation of movement of natural persons with all EU members in Brussels next week and persuade them to get over their reluctance to open up the sector.
While addressing a session, Pascal Lamy informed that “the issue of temporary movement of persons is an area of key interest for India and I will be discussing this issue in particular with ministers of our member states.” Pascal Lamy said that in services trade, both India and EU have very dynamic industries and major stake in negotiations.
