During her days in the Chambal ravines, one of the things she used to carry always was a picture of goddess Kali. Today, as the city gets ready to celebrate Kali Puja on November 11, former dacoit Seema Parihar, who is out on bail, is here to judge the best Kali idol and the best pandal.Seema came along with her son Sagar and Krishna Mishra, who made the film Wounded based on her life, at the invitation of a private TV channel. She will be pandal-hopping from Tuesday to Thursday. ‘‘I feel excited. I have been a devotee of Kali ma throughout my life but I did not know this kind of opportunity will ever come my way,’’ she said.Seema’s first husband Nirbhay Gujjar has threatened that he would not allow the film, Wounded, to be shown in theatres. In the film, Gujjar is shown as her first husband and Lala Ram as the second. Gujjar has objected to the portrayal of Lala Ram as Seema’s second husband in the film.‘‘Abhi bhi dhamki deta hai ki woh khoon ki nadi bahadenge (He keeps threatening me that he will make rivers of blood flow if the film is released),’’ said Seema.Mishra said the film’s script will stay unchanged. ‘‘I have stuck to the truth and there is no question of changing it. The release is scheduled for December-end or first week of January.’’
