Expelled BJP MLAs in Delhi, likely to join Cong today

The eight expelled BJP MLAs from Karnataka arrived here today and met senior Congressman Vyalar Ravi. With Sonia Gandhi formally giving her nod, the eight is likely to join the Congress tomorrow. Ravi, however, said the final decision would have to be okayed by Karnataka CM S.M. Krishna and state PCC chief.

Sources reveal that none of the disgruntled MLAs has been offered any Ministerial berth and that the MLAs were joining on their own.

Even the MLAs, while speaking to The Indian Express, claimed they harboured no such ambition, saying they took this step since they were ‘‘sick’’ of BJP politics in Karnataka.
