HYDERABAD, Oct 22: The expelled Telugu Desam MP and film star M R Mohanbabu today said he would approach the Supreme Court and stake claim for the party's symbol since he represented the ``real TDP'' and vowed to continue ``relentless fight'' to expose ``corruption and misrule'' of the Chandrababu Naidu government. A combative Mohanbabu, who was expelled on Sunday for anti-party activities, told reporters that he would go to people to highlight corruption in the ruling party, which had ``increased by leaps and bounds ever since Naidu took over the reins'', two years ago.Mohanbabu, a one-time comrade-in-arms of Naidu, said he was ``thrown out'' of the party since he had raised his voice against corruption.Earlier, a meeting of the Telugu Desam Party Politburo on Monday night, chaired by party president and chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, decided to expel the rebel Rajya Sabha member from primary membership of the party following an unanimous recommendation to this effect by the party's disciplinary action committee.Mohanbabu, who had sided with Naidu in dethroning party patriarch late N T Rama Rao two years ago, and later repented said, ``Some MLAs, MPs and party workers were in touch with him'' and would come out in support of him at an ``appropriate time''.The film actor-politician, who has been on a collision course with the leadership ever since he was reprimanded for allegedly assaulting a party colleague at Tirupati in May last, breathed fire at the Naidu Government saying it lacked ``public mandate'' as it was a ``regime of backstabbers''.``The Telugu Desam Party does not belong to people who defected from Congress and usurped power by unscrupulous means. I represent the real TDP and its ideals as enunciated by NTR'', he claimed.Accusing Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of ``harbouring corrupt elements as power brokers'' while muzzling the voice of dissent, Mohanbabu said he would welcome support from any party in his crusade against corruption.Rejecting the demand for his relinquishing the Rajya Sabha post in the wake of expulsion, he said, ``I was nominated (to RS) by NTR. Let the TDP MLAs who were also given tickets by NTR resign first''.Ruling out patch-up with Naidu, he said he had not approached anybody, including NTR's son N Harikrishna and NTR TDP president Lakshmi Parvathi, for support, ``but, I will appreciate if they express solidarity with me''.
