‘Fake’ killings – Reports filed on instructions: JCO

A Junior Commissioned Officer on Thursday told the Military Court recording summary evidence in the Siachen fake killing case, that he filed false reports of tension along the Line of Control on the instructions of his Commanding Officer Major Surinder Singh.

‘‘I sent false reports of tension on the LoC in August last year, because you told me to do so,’’ Nayab Subedar P.B. Thapa said, during his cross examination by Maj Singh.

‘‘I complied with your orders because I was afraid of you,’’ he said. Earlier, Thapa recalled the false reports, based on which, an encounter was allegedly staged and videotaped by Maj Singh. — (PTI)
